The study track for NLP is a three stage journey. It starts with NLP Practitioner, then moves on to NLP Master Practitioner and finally closes with NLP Coach. There is also a parallel track for those who are interested in Hypnotherapy. NLP Practitioner.
You are supplied with 22 CDs (about 1 hr 20 m listening per CD), a lever arch companion manual, and various other study aids. You work your way through the CDs, one module at a time. It is suggested that you listen to all the CDs first and then re-listen to them, stopping the CD and doing the exercises in the manual. Each Module has a Research Paper at the end of it. This is your opportunity to check your understanding of the material. The Research Papers are forwarded to us so that we can ensure that you understand the material.
You then attend the 7-day Intensive experiential part of the training. As Mark Twain said (and I say this as a cat lover): “he who has swung a cat by the tail knows a lot more about cats than he who has only read about them”. NLP is experiential and the magic is in the doing. The 7 day intensive ends with a board break, which acts as both a metaphor and a modelling project.
Ericksonian Hypnotherapy and Energy Re-Sourcing ™
At the end of the 7 day NLP Practitioner Intensive, there is a further 2 day certification course in Ericksonian Hypnotherapy and Energy Re-Sourcing™. The Ericksonian Hypnotherapy gives you a clear understanding of what hypnosis is and is not and a full experience of the benefits of using an altered state of consciousness. You experience all aspects of eliciting and working with altered states of consciousness. Energy Re-Sourcing™ provides a stand-alone model that you can use to assist clients and patients in resolving deep-seated problems and promoting revitalized health and energy. NLP Practitioner is a pre-requisite for this module, and this module is a pre-requisite for NLP Masters.
NLP Master Practitioner
The NLP Master Practitioner is to NLP Practitioner as NLP Practitioner is to life before it – in other words, a revelation. Min is currently in the studio creating her own CDs of this course. In the meantime, the pre-study section of the course comprises 3 MP3s from John Overdurf and Julie Silverthorn of Neuro-Energetics. This equates to over 30 hours of listening time covering Quantum Linguistics, Values and Meta Programs, Training and Presenting and specific healing interventions. You are also provided with a full course manual to support both the MP3s and material covered at the Intensive.
The Intensive itself is a 10 day experience – and be warned, it really is intense so come prepared to have your world re-arranged.
NLP Coach
There is coaching – which is the second fastest growth industry in the world today, next to IT, and there is NLP. This 6 day course takes everything you have learned on your NLP journey so far and aligns it with the professional expectations of “Coaching” as a profession, allowing you to fully understand what coaching is and is not, what NLP is and is not, and where the similarities and differences are. The final two days of the course are entitled “Creating your own successful coaching business” and are designed to enable you to comfortably and successfully get out there and make the difference that makes the difference!
